PROJECT 1
(Reading The Contexts of Traditional Streets)
In this project, we are tasked to study the distinctive place identity of a traditional streets. We need to define the boundary of the streets based on the virtual map, and choose a street from the assigned traditional streets. After that, we need to identify its context and show our observation in the form of sketch journal and we need to produce a 10pages A4 sketch journal with specified format.

In this project, I have learned a lot of new things. I had a deeper understanding on the traditional Chinese shophouses. I also learned that although it is in a high developed city, the historical icon of some places will still be preserved. Due to the pandemic, we can't have a site visit to our chosen street. I hope that we can have a physical site visit before we graduate.

(Research in Asian Architecture)
We are tasked to research the historical development of traditional street and its architecture of a Traditional Chinese Street. Our group have chosen Petaling Street for more in-depth research. This project requires us to come out with a research poster and video presentation.

This project gave me a chance to have a better understanding to the current status of the Traditional Chinese Street in Malaysia, and also let me more appreciate about the value that it can bring to the society.
